Covid 19 Comes to Town

My prevailing opinion has been that the Covid 19 was a true political ruse. I had no intention to embrace vaccination.

Beyond Politics to Physical Conditions

I lost my job in marketing because of the virus and refused to also be a guinea pig for the CDC. I researched and located suppliers of the “off grid” medications I could order if I fell ill. I managed to avoid the virus for 2 ¾ years.

I have a number of health conditions. I do not need the introduction of unknown, untested substances. into the body of health battles I work with on a daily basis.

I am basically healthy. I am 78 and take no regular medications, only various vitamins and minerals. I do not smoke or drink alcohol. The health issues are inherited fat disorders for the most part.

The Covid Sneak Attack

In November of 2022, I exposed to covid. A vaccinated friend who had just had a medical procedure in a hospital. She was in a pre-symptom state when I visited her. A few days later she developed symptoms and tested positive for covid.

I immediately tested and was positive. I contacted my Doctor who ordered paxlovid for me and in one week I was over the worst of it. I did have two side effects from the paxlovid. To relieve the body pain I took a half a pain pill with the dose of meds, and guaifenesin capsules for the cough.

Leveraging Our Brains

I realize I was very blessed, as were many of my family members who chose not to take the vaccine. Some have had covid 2 and 3 times, less severe each time but no one was hospitalized.

I am not saying that those who chose to be vaccinated are wrong. I am offering another, personal perspective. I encourage all to pause, reflect, research and form individual conclusions. Don’t push the “lemming button”! THINK with the intelligence given you by the Almighty.

Sometimes the enemy is US

Perhaps the powers that be do not remove our freedoms and rights. It may be that we give them away willingly. That we dodge personal responsibility and THINKING.

“I will take care of you.” is a tricky phrase! Emphasis on certain words in the phrase can create polar opposite meanings.

Letting the government meet our need leads to more than a slippery slope. Remember the cooking frog. Heat the kettle slowly and the frog doesn’t object. Until it is too late.

Leveraging our FAITH

We, our Churches, and communities should handle needs and stop dodging responsibility. Now is the time to exercise our faith. To those who believe and fully trust in the Savior Christ our Lord, peace is the order of every day. God loves all his creation, but he loves and protects his own.

Believers will live in love and peace knowing who really has the power over life and death. Weakened faith or none will live in gut-wrenching fear about life now and your eternal existence. The time is coming when the window of opportunity to commit your life to Christ will cease. Do not be left behind.Not the way I like to share

Not the way I like to share!

My 97 year old, fully vaccinated and boostered, friend contracted covid from me. We talk every day. I exposed him before I was told about the positive test of the original donor. He also went on paxlovid. He endured bronchial spasms and over two weeks of intestinal problems. He is now on the mend, spasm coughing and intestinal problems are over. As I write, he is out scraping the snow and ice off my car so I can get to physical therapy. We are so blessed.

We are the People!

We do not have to allow the hijacking of America. We are allowing what is happening to our country, we can watch it be dismantled defiantly before our eyes or we can begin to confront and stand. Parents of school-aged children are rising up, truckers are standing up, and our Supreme Court is remembering that they do not make law they interpret it, it is the beginning.

Pay attention and be involved

Do not count on this 2022 mid-term election to make everything right, get out and find out what your neighborhood needs, who is hurting, and who needs work. Start loving and caring for each other; keep politics out of it there is need for human support on the left and right. There is so much good going on in this world that is never reported, search, discover, link up, circle the wagons. Pay attention to each other’s needs do not be distracted by the “shiny things” or the many fear tactics we are sustaining from “friendly fire”, all are designed to separate us.

We are never going to return to the American dream as many of us experienced it, cut back, re-evaluate, and realign your priorities. We can build strength by returning to the values this country was built on and we once lived by. Defend our God-given rights every chance you get. We do not have to cower or bow to the insanity of the current culture. This will pass, with all the pain of a kidney stone, but it will pass.

I love the western winds. They remind me of the winds that blow through our lives. Some are breezes and some are serious gusts. Written on the Wind is my blog ‘diary’ post. The intention is to have a monthly diary, but we’ll go along with the breeze.

Writing is THE big thing in my life. I’m getting ready to have a book published and writing the next. Blogging will be enfolded in the writing activity. I have much to share with you. I welcome your comments and thoughts as we go along.
