JOB IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE ACCOUNTS OF FAITH AND RESTORATION
Job, is one of my favorite accounts of faith and restoration in the Bible. No matter what happens in my life, I do not put a label on the circumstance. The circumstance is never the driver in any situation; it is the response that is important.
Some of my responses are words like:
- bless your delays,
- thank you God, I can’t wait to see what you do next, or
- tell me what you want me to do.
Adjustments and Trinity Power
I am useless without the power of the Trinity in my life. I refuse to shudder and wail at man-made chaos. I adjust my life by not listening to the panic-promoting cacophony of media and political talking heads. I don’t allow just any old thing into my house and head. I welcome those who can carry on civil discourse about the issues of the day. Or those books, programs, and speakers who teach and preach the truth of God’s word.
Scripture supports Scripture.
If expository preaching is not what you are hearing then you are not hearing from God. God’s wrath is as real as his love, and the only real justice is His. Jesus talks more about hell than heaven in the Bible. God’s word is the only truth. That is why I am a Christ Follower, and not a Christian. I want the complete truth, not pseudo-Christian happy talk that demands dollars in exchange for the false or selected message. There are too many varieties under that label, and more than the camel’s nose is under the tent.

Pauline-like Thorns
I also have several Pauline-like thorns. Before I became a Christ Follower I railed against them. Now from a branch higher on the tree of life I see the strength and resolve from ‘thorns.’ The thorns made it possible to finally come to Christ.
Power of Pricky Thorns
Now, I hold fast to my faith and peace through the experiences in my life. Since turning my life over to Christ, and asking for direction on how to be a useful clay pot, I have peace, joy, and purpose in a chaotic world. Christ Followers are to be in this world but not of this world. That can only be accomplished in Christ. Finally, total safety is found in Christ. Knowing that the world can only attempt to do me harm, it can only kill me once. I am secure and safe in my life in Christ, and my eternal life is sealed, No fear can overtake me.

No Pay or Earning
I realize humans like to “pay their own way.” Then we can feel as though we have control over whether we stay or retreat from a situation.
Great is God’s Faithfulness to us — a gift
But, true children of God understand that grace, a life in Christ, and eternity with God are gifts from God. Gifts cannot be earned or purchased. We do not need to send in “seed money” for prosperity. Everything we will ever need will come directly from God, when we accept the gift of salvation. And believe that Christ is the son of God. God will then install in us His desires for our hearts, and begin to grow us into willing servants. We will then be fit to accomplish the purposes of God’s plan for our lives.
Our eternal life is secured.
Our brief time in this world will have meaning. We can live in this world free of anxiety, fear, panic, and anger, because we are God’s and God never fails His own. That is what is meant by Freedom in Christ. Remember, God’s love is very conditional, and he is clear about that in his Book of instruction, the Bible.
Gods gift is looking for you
God is seeking whom he will bless. Do not miss your call because you stubbornly cling to your sins and self importance. Look at your life honestly, how is it working for you so far. Nothing we do apart from God will last or matter. Today is the time to become a Receiver.
No middleman needed
We will not receive God’s gifts by sending money to false or misleading ministries. Be watchful of ‘ministries’ headed up by self-appointed preachers or teachers. They live lavish life styles, own private jets, limos, and require a large personal staff to meet their personal needs, on our money. Opportunists who step between us and our potential relationship with the Trinity. The intention is to convince us we need a middleman to receive God’s blessings
YOU MAY WANT TO GIVE THE FOLLOWING TEACHERS AND PREACHERS AN OPPORTUNITY TO FEED TRUTH INTO YOUR LIFE. They preach and teach the Bible; they do not adapt the word to fit the culture.
